Itinerary for Britain, Wales and Ireland
June 11-20, 2010


Day 1: Overnight flight from Denver to London
 Fly over-night to London, where you will enjoy full meal service with on-board entertainment as you jet across the Atlantic.
 
Day 2: London
 Arrive in London and enjoy the day sightseeing around one of the most exciting cities in the world with your Cross-Continental Tour Director who will remain with you throughout the trip. Visit: Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Gardens, Hyde Park, Westminster Abbey and Kensington Palace and tour the Tower of London. See the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Take an evening cruise down the Thames and see the sunset over London.
 
Day 3: London/Salisbury/Stonehenge

Spend the morning at the British Museum, home of some of the world's great antiquities. Transfer to Salisbury with a stop at Stonehenge and view the Ancient stone circle.

 
Day 4: Oxford/Blenheim/Stratford
 

Visit Oxford’s Medieval City with a special tour of Christ Church College. Travel to Blenheim Palace and Stratford for a tour of the Bard's birthplace.

 

Day 5: Stratford/Warwick

 

Spend the morning at Warwick Castle and Anne Hathaway's Cottage. Attend a performance at the Royal Shakespeare Company Theater or hire a boat on the Avon River. Visit the Brass Rubbing Center on Bankside or enjoy a picnic in Shakespeare’s Rose Garden under his famous Mulberry Tree.

 
Day 6: Stratford/Holyhead, Wales/Dublin, Ireland
 Depart Stratford. Travel through the Snowdonia National Park to Holyhead, Wales, and take the ferry to Dublin. Stay in Dublin at Bewley’s Hotel and dine in the Temple Bar Restaurant District.
 
Day 7: Tour Dublin
 Take a walking tour of Dublin’s Trinity College and visit the Book of Kells Exhibit. Tour St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where Jonathan Swift was Dean. Enjoy the afternoon on your own with shopping on Grafton Street, touring Christ Church Cathedral or visiting the Guinness Brewery at St. James Gate.
 
Day 8: Irish Countryside
 Tour Powerscourt Mansion and Gardens and Glendalough Monastery in County Wicklow. Stay in Waterford and tour its ancient streets and pubs.
 
Day 9: Kiss the Blarney Stone
 Arrive at Blarney and tour Blarney Castle. Kiss the Blarney Stone; transfer to Limerick for a farewell dinner at Bunratty Castle.
 
Day 10: Return to Denver or continue on the Scotland Extension June 20-23, 2010

June 20-23, 2010


Day 1
 Fly Dublin-Edinburgh; City tour of Edinburgh; dinner at Deacon Brody's.
 
Day 2
 Tour Rosslyn Masonic Abbey-Final scene of the Davinci Code and home of the Apprentice Pillar; return to Edinburgh for a tour of Edinburgh Castle and Holy Rood Palace-home of Mary Queen of Scots.
 
Day 3
 

Travel to Stirling Castle, scene of the Battle of Bannockburn from Braveheart and ancestral home of the Stuart Kings. Return to Edinburgh with dinner at The Witchery "located deep beneath the Royal Mile with great food".

 
Day 4
 

Spend the morning in Edinburgh and transfer to Edinburgh Airport for your flight back to Denver.
